Sick Building Syndrome
With a forced air heating system, germs and bacteria gather around cold air returns, creating an unhealthy environment full of airborne contaminants. This causes Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). This is a term used to describe situations in which building occupants experience acute health and comfort effects that appear to be linked to time spent in a building but no specific illness or cause can be identified.
SmartRooms distributor Jim Miller, President, Miller Electric, Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, USA experienced these benefits first hand.
"Prior to becoming a SmartRooms distributor I was a SmartRooms homeowner. With even heat and massive savings, there's also the benefit of a clean environment. My wife is highly allergic to virtually any airborne bacteria. We haven't a single draft in our home and there's no ductwork blowing allergens around to aggravate her condition."
Beyond the obvious health concerns associated with Sick Building
Syndrome, there are financial consequences from loss of work,
restoration, and in worst-case scenarios, condemning of the building.
Homeowner, Mr. Itoh, Shimoda, Japan speaks to the added peace of mind SmartRooms provide.
"SmartRooms' equal warmth throughout the house
keeps us very comfortable. Before we had to constantly keep our
eyes on our kids running around our old house, with hot stoves
in harm's way. Thanks to SmartRooms we worry no more. On top of
that, the system is clean and easy to operate. We strongly recommend
SmartRooms, particularly to those who have small children."
