ETS Specifications

SmartRooms Earth Storage System is manufactured by Therma-Ray Incorporated. The panel has a high-quality alloy resistance wire electrically insulated with a UL recognized TEFZELŽ compound, temperature rated for 200°C. Each panel has a watt density range of 40-48 watts/ft˛ when energized on design voltage. The installed kilowatt capacity and thermal storage capacity, in combination, are sufficient to limit operation to the off-peak times, as provided for in the utility rate, while providing 100% of the structure's heating requirements at design conditions. Temperature is controlled by the SmartRooms Comfort Controller which uses remote sensors. Heating panel branch circuits shall not be terminated in junction boxes located within the workplace but shall be run without splices directly to the circuit breaker sub panel. All components of the system shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and be UL listed for below slab, installed in sand or similar compacted fill. The installed system shall carry a written ten-year limited warranty.
